Practical Information

Getting Around

Within Sapa town, walking is best. For treks, you'll be on foot with a guide. To start Day 2's trek, you may take a short motorbike taxi (~$3) to the trailhead to save time. To return from your homestay to Sapa town on Day 3 morning, arrange a motorbike or car transfer with your homestay host (~$5-10 per person).

Book Ahead

Overnight train/bus from Hanoi to Lao Cai (and return). Your first night's accommodation in Sapa Town. A guide for the Day 2 trek/homestay is highly recommended and can be booked a day in advance in Sapa.

Packing Essentials
